jared isn’t a huge fan of having his picture taken (but then again, who is?). but his mom’s birthday is coming up, and after some strong hinting from her for an updated portrait of him, he decided to have some photos taken for her gift. jared wanted to avoid at all costs the cheesy-looking, stiff studio type of shot. good thing, because i try to avoid that look too. we bonded over a mutual love for steve carrell and the office (i have a crush on jim, he has a crush on pam) – in fact, he explained to me that what he DIDN’T want was a photo of him looking like the wide-eyed, deer-caught-in-headlights look of steve carrell on the cover of the 40-year-old virgin DVD cover:
yeaaaaaaaah, i was evil and was *just* quick enough to capture this expression when i told him to make that face. heee 
but i promise you the rest of the shots from his sessions look nothing like that!
(he kept apologizing for laughing, but i loved it because it ends up in natural expressions like this!)
